Honey & Fig Ancient Grains Sourdough Toast

10 Min Preparation, Serving Size 1-2

DIFFICULTY: Easy

INGREDIENTS

2 slices Promise Gluten Free Ancient Grains Sourdough
1/2 cup ricotta
1 tsp honey (plus extra for drizzling)
Fresh raspberries
2 fresh figs, sliced
Flaky sea salt (optional)

STEPS

STEP 1

Toast slices of Promise Gluten Free Ancient Grains Sourdough until golden and crisp.

STEP 2

In a small bowl, whip the ricotta with 1 tsp of honey until smooth and creamy.

STEP 3

Spread a generous layer of whipped ricotta onto each slice of toast.

STEP 4

Top with fresh raspberries and sliced figs.

STEP 5

Drizzle with honey and finish with flaky sea salt if desired.

STEP 6

Serve immediately and enjoy.

The Allergy & Free From Show in Birmingham on 9–10 May was an incredible experience for the Promise Gluten Free team, and we’re still feeling the energy from it.

It was fantastic to spend two days connecting with so many of you — from long-standing customers who have supported us for years, to new visitors discovering Promise for the first time. Having the chance to meet face-to-face, share our products, and hear your thoughts directly is something we truly value.

A Show Full of Meaningful Conversations

One of the highlights of the event was hearing what you love about our range, as well as what you’d like to see from us next. Your feedback is essential in shaping our future innovation, and it continues to inspire us to create gluten free bread and bakery products that deliver on both taste and texture — without compromise.

These conversations remind us why innovation in the gluten free space is so important. Every product we develop is driven by real needs, real feedback, and a shared goal: making gluten free food that everyone can enjoy.

Summer Picky Bits Grazing Board

25 Min Preparation, Makes 2-4 Servings

DIFFICULTY: Easy

INGREDIENTS

1 loaf Promise Gluten Free Sundried Tomato Sourdough, sliced and toasted
150g feta cheese
1–2 handfuls mixed olives
1 cucumber, sliced
6–8 sundried tomatoes
1 lemon, cut into wedges
Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional additions for a fuller summer spread:

Roasted peppers
Hummus or whipped feta dip
Fresh basil or mint
Prosciutto or smoked salmon
Cherry tomatoes
Artichokes
Grapes or fresh berries
Gluten free crackers or crisps

STEPS

STEP 1

Arrange slices of Promise Gluten Free Sundried Tomato on a platter or a large board.

STEP 2

Add small bowls or clusters of feta, olives, sundried tomatoes, and cucumber around the board.

STEP 3

Scatter lemon wedges throughout for squeezing over the board.

STEP 4

Drizzle olive oil over the feta and vegetables, and season lightly with salt and pepper.

STEP 5

Fill in any gaps with your chosen extras for a generous summer “picky bits” spread.

STEP 6

Serve immediately and enjoy shared, relaxed grazing-style eating.

Whipped Feta & Roasted Tomato Toast

25 Min Preparation, Makes 1-2 servings

DIFFICULTY: Medium

INGREDIENTS

1–2 slices Promise Gluten Free Sundried Tomato Sourdough
60–80g feta cheese
1–2 tbsp Greek yogurt or cream cheese (optional, for whipping)
6–8 cherry tomatoes
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
A handful of fresh basil leaves
Optional: balsamic glaze, for drizzling

STEPS

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place cherry tomatoes on a baking tray, drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and roast for 15–20 minutes until soft and slightly blistered.

STEP 2

Meanwhile, mash or blend the feta with Greek yogurt or cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

STEP 3

Toast the sourdough until golden and crisp.

STEP 4

Spread the whipped feta over the warm toast.

STEP 5

Top with roasted tomatoes and fresh basil leaves.

STEP 6

Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze if desired and serve immediately.

Sundried Tomato Sourdough Toast with Red Pesto & Fried Egg

10 min Preparation, Makes 1 serving

DIFFICULTY: Low

INGREDIENTS

1 slice Promise Gluten Free Sundried Tomato Sourdough
1–2 tbsp red pesto
1 egg
1 tsp olive oil or butter (for frying)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: chilli flakes or fresh basil to finish

STEPS

STEP 1

Toast the sundried tomato sourdough until golden and crisp.

STEP 2

Spread the red pesto evenly over the warm toast.

STEP 3

Heat olive oil or butter in a frying pan and cook the egg to your preference.

STEP 4

Place the fried egg on top of the pesto toast.

STEP 5

Season with salt and black pepper, and add optional chilli flakes or fresh basil. Serve immediately.
